Where can I have my baby?
Women identified as having no risk factors who are having a normal pregnancy are able to choose where they want to give birth. The options are:
- Home birth
- Midwifery Led Unit University Hospital of Wales
- Consultant Led Unit University Hospital of Wales.

Women requiring additional care during pregnancy, labour or birth may be advised to consider giving birth in the Consultant Led Unit. When considering the best option for you, speak to your community midwife who will provide information that will help you in making your decision.
