Undergraduate Centre

Welcome to Undergraduate Education

The UHB's Undergraduate Centres are responsible for providing a high standard of clinical placement to the medical students and offer a support service to the clinicians enabling them to deliver teaching. It involves working very closely with Cardiff University, School of Medicine to deliver the clinical placements.

 
The UHB is Committed to: 

• Providing excellent clinical experience for all students
• Supporting clinicians to provide clinical placements
• Enhancing teaching to facilitate Undergraduate Education 

Undergraduate Centres

There are Undergraduate Centres at UHW and Llandough.  Each Centre:

• Provides administrative support to clinicians and students.
• Provides an induction to all students on their first day of placement.
• Continues to work with clinicians to improve clinical placements.
• Facilitates the Honorary Titles application forms.
• Co-ordinates the Medical Work Observation Programme (MWOP)
