What is an Honorary Title?
The School of Medicine, Cardiff University recognises that there are a number of NHS colleagues employed not by the University but employed by NHS Trusts in Wales, who contribute significantly to the teaching of the school by teaching undergraduate medical students who are on clinical placements in NHS Trusts throughout Wales.
The School can recommend to the University the award of a University Honorary Title to such colleagues in recognition of this contribution.
The particular Honorary Title awarded to an individual depends upon the level, scope and nature of the contribution of that individual to the teaching of the School.
Honorary Titles Available
There are four Honorary Titles:
- Honorary Senior Lecturer
- Honorary Lecturer
- Honorary Clinical Teacher
- Honorary Associate Clinical Teacher
