Common Traits
There are over 1,000 haemoglobinopathy traits or healthy Carrier states. Most are of no clinical significance.
The most common traits seen in Wales are:
- Sickle Cell Trait
- Alpha Thalassaemia
- Beta Thalassaemia Trait
- Haemoglobin C Trait
- Haemoglobin D Trait
- Haemoglobin E Trait
