Genito-Urinary Medicine (GUM), Cardiff Royal Infirmary

The GUM department runs a ‘Sit and Wait’ self referral clinic which operates Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday mornings. The clinic opens at 8.15 am and closes at 12.00 pm. The number of patients seen on a daily basis is dependent on the number of staff available.

Emergency Dental Hospital Service

The Dental Hospital runs Emergency clinics, for two sessions every weekday, for adults and children who need temporary relief and are not registered with a General Dental Practitioner. The Adult Examination and Emergency clinics run on a first come, first served basis, and sees 20 patients per session.

The Emergency Dental Service for the evenings (after 6.00 pm) and weekends is held at St David's Hospital, and the number for this is 029 2056 6184 (evenings) and 029 2056 6980 (weekends).

Community Dental Services

The Community Dental Service provides dental treatment for children and patients with special requirements. It also provides 'safety net' services at various clinics for patients who cannot access general dental services. We also provide emergency dental services in Cardiff and Merthyr.
