Rev Avril Dafydd-Lewis, Baptist Minister (thumbnail)Baptist Minister

Hi my name is Avril Dafydd-Lewis. I trained for the Baptist Ministry at the South Wales Baptist College and entered ministry in 1991. My first pastorate was in the Rhondda Valley and then in the Gwent Valley. I worked at Cardiff and Vale in the Chaplaincy Department before moving to join the Chaplaincy Team at Bristol where I became the Lead Chaplain in Paediatric and Adolescent Oncology and the Bone Marrow Transplant Unit, and also the Lead in Palliative Care. I have now returned to Cardiff and Vale UHB where I am the Lead in Palliative Care and also the Lead Chaplain at University Hospital Llandough. My personal interests include my two St. Bernard dogs called Ruby Hedd and Saffi Fleur whom I absolutely adore. I also enjoy cycling, gardening and walking.
