The Regional Stroke Unit is situated on the 3rd floor of West Wing Hospital.
What to Bring
Patients will be asked to supply the following to make their stay more comfortable:
- Day Clothes
- Nightwear
- Underwear
- Toiletries
- A pair of well fitting walking shoes or slippers
Clothes Washing Facilities
The hospital does not have a laundry service for washing of patients' clothes. so staff will rinse soiled items for relatives/carers to take home for washing.
NB All clothing should be labelled.
Valuables
Money or valuables should not be brought into the hospital. However if you wish to do so, you will be asked to sign a 
Disclaimer.
Visiting Times
Due to therapy sessions and protected mealtimes, the best time to visit is 3.00pm - 5.00pm on week days and 2.00pm - 5.00pm, and 6.00pm - 8.00pm on weekends. If however family need to visit outside these hours, arrangements can be made with the Ward Sister.
We operate a 'Protected Mealtimes' policy so visitors are encouraged not to come in during mealtimes (see below) unless they come to help patient to eat.

Breakfast 8.00am - 08.30am
Mid-morning tea/coffee and biscuits
Lunch 12.30pm - 1.00pm
Mid-afternoon tea/coffee and biscuits
Supper 5.15pm - 5.30pm
