Welcome to the home page of Cardiff Royal Infirmary. The hospital has a rich history and has cared for the people of Cardiff since 1883.
For years it was the city's main hospital. Today it is a landmark in transition. Work on a £30 million plan to reopen the CRI is already underway. Work on phase one continues at a pace and a brand new Outpatients Department has already opened its doors to patients.
This site will provide the latest news on the progress of the site, what the future holds for it and also a taste of the hospital's rich history.
Take a look at this presentation (March 2012) for a quick overview.
