This service provides dental care for children with trauma and developmental anomalies such as structural defects and missing teeth, along with the restoration of decayed teeth and preventative care to help with dental disease and decay.
UDH also provides a service for children with chronic medical conditions and learning difficulties, and specialist paediatric surgery carried out under general anaesthetic.
Paediatric Dentistry is situated on the First Floor.
Emergency Treatment
Paediatric casuals / emergencies are seen on Monday to Friday at 8:30am, and additionally at 1:30pm on Fridays only. Patients are seen according to clinical priority.
A casual / emergency refers to a patient who a General Dental Practitioner has been unable to treat and has therefore sent to the Dental Hospital with a referral letter asking that they be seen on that day or the day after.
