Welcome to the Paediatric Allergy, Asthma and Eczema Service
The Children's Allergy, Asthma and Eczema Unit was established in 1992. It receives referrals from within Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan as well as from South and West Wales.
Our approach involves a range of professionals such as paediatricians, paediatric nurses, dieticians and pharmacists.
The services provided are comprehensive allergy management, including skin and blood allergy testing. We provide training on the use of auto-injectors and Basic Life Support (BSL), assessment of inhaler technique, lung function testing, dietary advice and oral food challenges when required. We also assess children with uncontrolled asthma, eczema and hayfever as well as food allergy.
