Welcome to Obstetrics & Gynaecology
Cardiff and Vale University Health Board has developed its Maternity and Gynaecology services to meet the needs of local women and their families. We provide a tertiary (specialised care) service for women with specialist needs in fetal/maternal medicine and we are a regional centre for Oncology and Reproductive Medicine. We also provide a community midwifery service and in some local health clinics provide family planning services.
Our services are based at the University Hospital of Wales, University Hospital Llandough, and Cardiff Royal Infirmary. We manage our service through the Directorate of Obstetrics & Gynaecology, led by a Clinical Director who is supported by a Senior Directorate Management Team.
