Clinical Psychology and Counselling Service
We are a small team of Psychologists and Psychological Therapists headed by Dr Gill Fitzgibbon, Consultant Clinical Psychologist.
The Team also includes:

- Sue Buckler, Office Manager
- Trainees Clinical Psychologists in their final year of training.
We provide psychological assessments and therapeutic intervention to those patients and their families in need of psychological help. The consultant provides psychological assessments and aftercare within the Live Donor Programme.
Psychological care includes supporting the patients and families during all stages of the illness and its treatments, and addressing their concerns or difficulties. These include the integration of the treatment into daily life, changes in how a patient sees him or herself, and relationships. Psychological care includes looking after the psychological and emotional well being of the patient.
Referrals are usually made via Consultants or Specialist Nurses. However, we are more than willing to accept referrals directly from the patient in collaboration with the patient’s consultant.
