Welcome to Maternity Services

Public Involvement
The views of the public who use our services are important to us. If you would like to provide feedback on the care you received you can either write or send an e mail to:

MUMS Group
For Maternity Services, there is a local group of mothers, midwives and other health professionals who meet regularly. The group is called the MUMS Group (Mothers Using Maternity Services). They receive comments and feedback from mothers and aim to help improve maternity services. New members are always welcome and if you are interested in joining this group either telephone Anne Morgans, Head Clinical Governance Midwife on 029 2074 5190 or by e mail to anne.morgans@wales.nhs.uk.
Supervision of midwives
The role of the supervisor of midwives is instrumental in the continuing improvement of the quality of care given to women and their babies. Effective supervision empowers midwifery as a profession, and through support, counseling and guidance enables midwives to provide high quality care in a variety of settings to meet the individual needs of women of childbearing age.
A supervisor of midwives is available on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week. This ensures midwives have access to support and advice. If a member of the public wishes to speak to a supervisor of midwives, please contact the UHW switchboard by telephoning 029 2074 7747.
