Aim of Ward

As a combined acute / rehabilitation stroke unit, our aim is the anable patients to achieve their maximum potential to give them the  best possible outcomes.

What We Do

Stroke Rehabilitation and also emphasis on Acute Medical Management

The Stroke Unit plays a key role in supporting patients to optimise their recovery and also suports carers whilst encouraging development of staff members.

The Stroke Unit is multidisciplinary focused: each discipline working together with the patient and family in order to maximise their individual goals.  This may take up to 3 to 6 months.

The Unit offers a commitment to staff development, and is an ideal place for nurses to develop and consolidate skills.
