Lansdowne Unit is situated on the 1st floor of St David's Hospital and has lift and stair access.
What to Bring
Patients will be asked to supply the following to make their stay more comfortable:
- Day Clothes
- Nightwear
- Underwear
- Toiletries
- A pair of well fitting walking shoes or slippers.
Clothes washing facilities
A laundry service is available for patients requiring Continuing Health Care and those who do not have a relative or carer. Dirty clothing will otherwise be rinsed ready for relative or carer to take home to wash. It is advised that all clothing is labelled prior to admission
Valuables
On admission we strongly advise you not to bring any valuables into hospital. If you do you will be required to sign a
Property Disclaimer Form.
Visiting Times
Visiting times are between 1.30pm - 8.00pm daily. However, due to therapy sessions and protected meal times, patients may be unavailable at times. If you wish to visit outside these hours, please make arrangements with the Ward Sister.

Breakfast 08.00 - 08.30
Mid-morning tea/coffee and biscuits
Lunch 12.00 - 12.30
Mid-afternoon tea/coffee and biscuits
Supper 17.30 - 18.00
Other information
Lansdowne Unit has 4 bedded areas and single rooms, some with ensuite facilities. Each room has the use of a portable television with remote control. There is a telephone point in each room and a portable telephone is available for your use.
Each patient will have their own wardrobe and chest of drawers for their personal use.
