Day Hospital Doctor
A doctor is available to complete initital assessment of all new patients and provide ongoing intervention as deemed necessary.

Psychologist
A psychologist is available if it is felt that patients need to be referred by a member of the Multi-disciplinary Team.

Occupational Therapist
Therapy is available from 08:30 – 16:30 Monday to Friday excluding Bank Holidays. The OT will assess function in personal activities of daily living with the aim of maintaining or restoring independence. If necessary during the patient's attendance at Day Hospital, the OT will make a home visit to ensure a safe home environment.

Physiotherapist
On admission you will be assessed by a physiotherapist. Any physiotherapy needs will be identified with the patient and an individual programme set. Treatment may be in groups or on an individual basis.

Speech And Language Therapist
If a patient has difficulty in communicating and / or swallowing food or drink, they can be referred to a Speech and Language Therapist by any member of the Multi-Disciplinary Team.

Dietitian
Referrals to the Dietitian can be made by any member of the Multi-Disciplinary Team from Monday to Friday 09:00 – 17:00 hours. The Dietitian is also available to discuss any dietary problems the patient may be experiencing.

Social Worker
Social Work needs can be accessed via the Contact and Assessment Service within Social Services.

Day Hospital Coordinators
Day Hospital Coordinators play an integral role in the daily running of the Day Hospital and are responsible for all administrative tasks including answering telephone queries, booking transport, maintaining accurate and up to date records.

Nurses
On admission patients will be allocated a nurse who will coordinate their rehabilitation programme. She will be responsible for planning and implementing all nursing needs during the patient stay. This nurse is a patient's ‘Named Nurse’
