The purpose of the Information Governance Committee is to advise the Board on the following aspects of information (including patient and personal information):
- quality and integrity of information
- safety and security of information
- appropriate access and use of information.
It will provide assurance around the UHB’s measures for creating, collecting, storing, protecting, disseminating, sharing, using and disposing of information.
