How to reserve a time slot to visit the Cardiff ISH CRI Clinic

Reserving a slot to see us is a hassle-free way of seeing our sexual health team within a pre-arranged time slot. These slots are for new problems/concerns. We aim to see you within the allotted 30 minutes but clinics are very busy so we apologise for any delay you may experience. Time slots are limited and you may be asked to repeat your request for a slot next day.

If you think your problem is urgent, please see the guidance below.

If you have been asked to make a follow-up appointment from a recent visit please contact the Clinic.

Text us to reserve a slot for the next day's morning clinic.  Text booking is open between 6.00pm the night before and 7.00am the day of the clinic.

Slot booked morning clinics are only available on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.

To reserve a morning slot (08.45  to 12.00)

TEXT - SLOT to 07786 202254

You will be sent a text message giving you the first available slot. This will be a time slot during which time we aim to see you in clinic. Unfortunately it isn’t an exact appointment time, but we aim to see you as near to the start of your slot time as possible. Please arrive at the clinic 15 minutes BEFORE your allotted time slot to enable us to register you and make up your notes.

Please note you’ll be charged at your standard rate for sending texts. It’s free to receive texts from us.

Men - please do not pass urine (pee) for 2 hours before your visit to clinic.

We will aim to see, treat and discharge you within two hours of your slot time. However at very busy times, it may be longer.

Remember to print out and fill in your registration forms before arriving at the clinic.

What if my problem is urgent?

If you think your problem needs urgent attention, and you have been unable to book an appointment or arrange a time slot, you can attend as a “walk in” to our service. You will be assessed by a nurse who will assess you, and may arrange for you to be seen straight away if appropriate.  Please note that if your problem is not deemed to be urgent it is likely you will have to re-attend another day.  For further information regarding urgent problems, click on the links below.

If we are closed and you require immediate help, please call NHS Direct: 0845 4647 or visit www.nhsdirect.nhs.uk
