There are two in-patient wards within Gynaecology: Anwen & Delyth wards are situated on the first floor in the University Hospital Llandough. The Emergency Gynaecology Admissions Unit is situated on the upper ground floor, maternity entrance at the University Hospital of Wales.
Delyth ward is a 20 bed Oncology Gynaecology Unit, and Anwen ward is a 18 bed core Gynaecology Unit. The Emergency Gynaecology Unit has 6 in-patient beds.
Anwen Ward and the Gynaecology Emergency Admissions Unit provide nursing care for all aspects of women's gynaecological health. This includes all major and minor surgery, with special interests in urogynaecology, endometriosis, emergency admissions, and emergency surgery.
We also provide care and support for women and their familes undergoing miscarriage and termination of pregnancy, working closely with EPAU and Fetal Medicine. Referral to these clinics is through your GP.
