• Three consultants have inpatient beds at the University Hospital of Wales.
• B7 is the designated ward.
• Inpatient medical review via written consultation slip. 

Inpatient diabetes specialist nursing service

• There is an Inpatient Diabetes Specialist Nurse.
• University Hospital of Wales accept faxed referrals only.
• A service is provided to all adult wards at the University Hospital of Wales, Rookwood Hospital, Velindre Hospital, Westwing Hospital, St. David's Hospital and Whitchurch Hospital. 

University Hospital Llandough

• Two consultants have in patient beds at University Hospital Llandough.
• E2 and E6 are the designated wards.
• Inpatient review is via consultation slip.

Inpatient Diabetes Specialist Nursing Service

• Two Inpatient Diabetes Nurse Educators.
• Llandough accept faxed referrals only.
• A service is provided to all adult wards at the Llandough and Barry Hospitals.
